To win a Pick 3 prize, you have to match all the numbers you select to the winning digits that are drawn. There are no consolation prizes for getting one or two of the three numbers.
If you play a Straight, you must match them the numbers in exact order to win, whereas if you play a Box the order does not matter. For a Straight/Box, you win for matching the numbers exactly and/or in any order.
There’s a fixed amount for each play type, also taking into account your wager amount. The more you spend, the more you can win. For Box and Straight/Box plays, it is also relevant whether you play a 3-Way or 6-Way combination.

The amount paid out in prizes works out at approximately 48.2 percent of the revenue generated from ticket sales. The Wisconsin Lottery has a maximum prize fund for each draw, so it has the right to suspend sales of certain number combination if taking more wagers would mean that winners cannot receive the advertised prize. As it is, you are always guaranteed to receive the full amount if you win.
To claim a Pick 3 prize, you can visit any Wisconsin Lottery retailer or go to the Madison or Milwaukee Lottery offices. Alternatively, you can mail in your winning tickets to the following address – Prizes, PO Box 777, Madison, WI 53774.
